Turn any screen into a photo slideshow.

Pixel Photo Slideshow is a photo slideshow and screen saver app for Android, visually aligned with first-party Google Pixel apps. There's no backend and no analytics — the only account involved is an optional, user-initiated Google Photos sign-in.

What it does

Your photos, everywhere you have a screen.

Pick photos from wherever they live, and let Pixel Photo Slideshow turn any phone or tablet into a slideshow.

Photo sources, local or cloud

Pick individual photos through the system Photo Picker, hand over a whole folder or album via the Storage Access Framework, or connect a Google Photos account directly through its official Picker API.

Slideshow

Full-screen crossfade or Ken Burns pan-zoom, configurable duration, shuffle, optional file-name captions, and an adjustable dim overlay.

Manual or automatic

Start it yourself from the app, or enable Pixel Photo Slideshow as your Android screen saver and let the system start it automatically while charging, docked, or both.

Material 3 Expressive design

Light and dark mode, dynamic color with Material You, and rounded tonal surfaces throughout.

Privacy by design

No backend, no analytics, no crash-reporting SDKs. Local photo access is scoped to exactly what you pick — Google Photos access is opt-in and limited to the items you select each time.

Design

Built to feel like a first-party Pixel app.

Pixel Photo Slideshow follows Material 3 Expressive — the same design language behind Google's own apps. Dynamic color, expressive shape, and a clean layout, in both light and dark themes.

Privacy

Privacy by default, not as an afterthought.

Nothing leaves your device unless you ask it to

Pixel Photo Slideshow doesn't need an internet connection to run local slideshows. There are no accounts required, no ad SDKs, and no crash or usage analytics. The only network activity is an optional, user-initiated Google Photos sign-in, which talks directly to Google's own OAuth and Photos Picker APIs — never to a server Pixel Photo Slideshow controls.
